PhD in Theology

Our world needs faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. But to educate and form these disciples, we also need leaders and teachers who are well-prepared to pass on the truth of the Catholic faith. With your support, Franciscan University is launching a PhD in Sacred Theology Program in Fall 2024.

This new Doctoral Program in Sacred Theology will help Franciscan University rebuild the Church through teaching those who will teach the faith at other colleges and seminaries. Through these scholars’ theological research and writing, we will also help advance and defend the treasury of wisdom and truth entrusted to the Catholic Church.
